Service levels and non-disruptive testing

All of the Recovery services have been developed with non-disruptive testing of the data recovery process as an integral element. Our Bronze service level agreement which includes non-disruptive testing is incorporated within the standard subscription charges. Upgrades to , extended hours of response and enhanced levels from a Silver to Platinum service are also available. Traditional DR solutions are often complex, so proving they work reliably has a major impact on the production environment and as a result they are rarely tested. The speed and ease with which an IT recovery plan can be tested is emerging as a key measure of recovery effectiveness. One of the unique benefits of all the OnDemand Recovery services is the ability to conduct a test recovery to validate the IT recovery plan without disrupting the operational systems. This ensures that recovery time and recovery point objectives can be maintained within the definitions in the Business Continuity plan.

As Gartner Research stated in their 2009 review of the Backup and Business Continuity sector “Business Continuity testing is second only to Business Impact Analysis when managing IT Business Continuity”, and non-disruptive testing is key to making this a reality.
