3rd Level Technical Engineer

Virtualisation and Recovery Services (ASIGRA)

OnDemand Recovery is a fast growing business, providing Backup and Recovery services to our growing list of clients. Due to our rapid growth, we are looking for an engineer with strong backup knowledge within the industry, The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining all servers and service delivery.

Reporting directly to the Operations Director, you will be responsible for the diagnosing and suitable resolution of IT issues, installing new hardware equipment within the datacentre and providing technical support around our four Core Services.

You will handle day-to-day operational issues (backend systems, server and client deployments) alongside installing new site installations therefore a full clean driving license is essential.

You will also be involved in the planning and performing of all system upgrades, Virtualisation Imaging, Product installations for Client deployments, server and invocation testing for any of our core services.

With strong interpersonal skills, you will have experience and knowledge of the following:

  • Linux knowledge preferable
  • Windows XP/Vista/Windows 7
  • Windows 2003/2008 server and Active Directory including group policies.
  • Microsoft Exchange
  • Microsoft IIS Server.
  • Administering Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Networking including experience of configuring routers switches and firewalls.
  • Previous experience of Storage Area Networks and VMWare ESX Server would be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of Citrix, XenServer.
  • Knowledge of NetApp, EMC would be desirable.
  • Training will be provided around Virtualisation Technology and recovery testing.

Location: Northampton
Salary: Market Rate
