Advanced Features – Continuous Data Protection, Message Level Restore, Local Storage

Two further features within OnDemand Backup that are widely adopted are Continuous Data Protection (CDP) and Message Level Restore (MLR). CDP enables changes to critical data to be regularly backed as changes occur or at scheduled points of the day. MLR enables User Message level and Mailbox Level Restore to complement the complete messaging system recovery that is available as standard. CDP and MLR can be configured on a per server and per user basis. There is no additional licensing costs associated with these two advanced, optional services.

Local storage is available as a stand alone option operating as a disk based backup solution onsite and as an integrated part of the online backup service in either case LAN speed recovery from disk offers outstanding recovery times. OnDemand Recovery work closely with prospective clients to determine the appropriate proportion of data that is stored locally and that is transmitted offsite.
